Google has released new views of city streets and villages in the north-east of Japan abandoned after the nuclear accident at Fukushima in March 2011, on the platform Mirai no kioku.

"Mirai no kioku."  Literally "Memories for the future  . " This is the name that was chosen by Google, which offers with its geolocation tool "  Street View "  a site featuring 12 images of deserted towns in the prefecture of Fukushima , including the towns of Futaba and Okuma, the border which is the ravaged Fukushima Daiichi plant.
These areas are designated by the authorities as uninhabitable for years due to high levels of radioactivity.
Google also released photos of the evacuated areas of Iitate, Katsurao, Kawauchi, Naraha, Hirono and Minamisoma, all in Fukushima Prefecture. He soon added pictures of Kawamata, Tamura and Tomioka, "  shooting is in progress " , according to a spokesman for Google.

COLLAPSED HOUSES, BROKEN ROADS

New views watches collapsed houses, broken roads and other damage caused by the earthquake and tsunami in Futaba, near the atomic complex.
The American group used to make this a special location-vehicle equipped with a camera, under strict conditions to protect his personal realization of environmental radioactivity.
New views can partly be compared with those of the same places before the tragedy.

Google had launched this virtual stroll  in ghost towns in March with a visit to the city evacuated from Namie, conducted at the request of local authorities.
